Serenity Funeral Services

My grandmother just passed. Although I had no say as to which funeral home would attend to her preparation and burial (we came from out of state), I am highly HIGHLY disappointed. Being a mortuary school graduate myself, I KNOW better than to rush a family that is grieving. The service was quick and informal. The priest was very personal and I appreciated his eulogy. However, while family was still reminiscing about grandma, we were being packed up. When we got to the cemetery, it was SO rushed I dont even know why they put chairs out. Flowers, dirt, and grandma was put in the ground. I would never recommend such uncaring people to care for your loved ones. I did hear Mary say they are former insurance salesmen. Mary, if you are reading this, people are not a product. If you cant get behind that (previous reviews show you cant) please take your salesmen tactics to a different profession. You are, respectfully, giving the funeral business a bad name. Best of luck. Please Note: The only reason this is 2 star is because of the priest.

I wish I could give a lower score than one star, but this business is truly awful. Mary was truly awful and had zero patience. She gave us 3 package deals but forgot to mention that there was taxes and didn't tell us until we had to pay which we were unprepared for. Mary was very rude, disrespectful and sarcastic during the whole interaction. The service at this place was absolutely disgusting. Please do not send your loved ones here. They deserve better and so do you.

In 2017 I used them for my Dad,No complaints vary nice,vary attentive,even called after all done to check on me to see how I was doing

I have rarely offered a review for any product or service, and never have I offered a review as negative as this one is intended to be. I am shocked at how rude, aggressive, uncaring, and insensitive they were to me in dealing with my mother's passing. The owner initially presents herself as a saccharine-sweet woman, using words like "honey" to present a false demeanor of care. It takes only a moment for the conversation to turn aggressive and extremely rude. I am shocked at how they are still in business. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES. if I could give their services zero stars, I would. Eventually the owner in frustration with me, turned me over to speak to another employee who was much more understanding. Throughout the conversation however, I heard a woman in the background laughing at me and negating anything I was saying. It's astonishing that someone in her position and business would have so little care and true understanding of what individuals are going through in these circumstances. I wish I had previously read all the extremely negative reviews they have accumulated prior to enlisting their services. If this review is read by anyone, please know it is much more likely than not (just read the reviews) that your experience (as it has been for so many others) will be both negative, deeply troubling, and traumatic. Believe me: The last thing you need in the circumstances of working through a loved one's passing is to have to navigate this company's deeply flawed, unprofessional, aggressive, uncaring, and rude practices. Again, how they remain in business is beyond my comprehension.
