The staff are short with their customers and aren't friendly. When I ended my lease they tried to charge me for items that were not my responsibility and over charge me for the items. I was entitled to receive my entire security deposit but instead someone forged the check and I did not receive my deposit back. Maintenance doesn't always repair issues, sometimes they make the issues worse. They seem to care more about money than their customers. I am glad I don't have to deal with them anymore.

Called to get information on a rental property I had seen as I was driving by and front desk answered. Informed her I wanted to get some info and I gave her the exact cross streets. She asked for the exact address but as mentioned to her I was not from the area to know what it was and I was driving. I asked if she can just look at the property with the cross street but was too lazy and said for me to look online for the address. Even checking online the property is not up. If that's the first point of contact for the company then I really don't see they'll get far and will also lose out on business.

car broken into again and they said that I can put camera up or motion detector, but I can't screw in? If I dont screw in, then anyone can slap it off or tape won't hold item? Ridiculous option. They affixed a sign with screws, but I can't to protect my property. They just tell me to call my insurance. Also, one panel of my blinds broke off cause of wear and tear, and this company is saying that it was not wear and tear and not replacing one panel.

Seriously, one of the WORST leasing properties I've ever had. We've had two leaks in the same year, and all they did was patch and dry carpet instead of replacing it. They are also really rude, especially Karen. We've had issues getting our deposit back. They will take advantage!

Update to my review of Pacific City Properties.2014: Previously an in 2014 when I was in the Pacific City office, I rated them 5 stars.2019: I rated them 2 stars due to their poor customer service and response to maintenance and urgent repairs requests.Dec. 2022: Pacific City has proven their poor customer service. They are being rated 1 star. This office has not properly addressed a safety risk to the tenant, in fact has ignored the safety risk for years. The staff are rude when you call them, making you feel you are a burden and are wasting their time and bothering them. We were yelled at recently in a call to Sylvia (or Silvana) a staff member of this office: "You are listing too many issues?! what else? you must wait at least one week before we return your call".We are done with this office. Future tenants who look for an apartment in Pasadena area, beware! you were warned. for your info, a few issues that the office is aware and I am hoping they fix soon: Roof is not in a good shape. ceiling leaks. Plumbing in the laundry room leaks from time to time and never addressed properly. with every drop of rain, ceiling leaks, rainwater penetrates to the parking area and makes the storage area useless.The parking gate is never reliable it will surprise you one morning and locks you in. The termite infestation is apparent.Gates are not secure, therefore cars and storages were broken into multiple times (The office did not install any security camera despite multiple requests.)Above all, the staff (at least one of them Sylvia or Silvana?) of the pacific city is RUDE and unprofessional.
