Baymont by Wyndham Fort Bragg at Oceanview

This is a place for sleep and little else. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. For your $70 or so, you get a small room and extremely limited amenities. Rooms: Very small and dated. 50 years of repainting shows. The furnishings and fixtures are worn but functional. Beds appear to be fairly new, as with the oddly placed electric fireplace. Safety: It's Fort Bragg- the only thing unsafe is blindly wandering into main street, which could result in a Darwin award. Walkability: You can easily walk to either end of town from here.

Perfect location, very cheap room, and the staff was friendly enough, but communicating with them was an issue as I could barely understand their accent and it didn't seem like they understood English very well

Well, stay here if you have very low expectations. I love cool little hotels and stay at some pretty old and quirky places. Ive NEVER had such a bad experience! All went fine other than the lack of shelving or someplace to actually put toiletries and such out, until late that night when I crawled into bed and the mattress smelled like pee. Yep. After showering I discerned exactly where the small spot of actual urine was and was able to avoid it and get some rest. Explained the situation and was moved to a new room. It was fine until again, realizing that the pillow cases were not clean! Used my own bedding and left as early as I could. Surprise souvenir, some kind of rash on the back of my neck. Seriously! This hotel was passable on the surface but so unsafe and unhealthy!! Be safe and book somewhere else in town!! Safety: Unsafe with unclean linen and obvious reuse of linens. Ew!!!!
