Whoever came up with the 20 items or less ONLY idea for the self checkout, you should definitely reevaluate the efficiency of it. I finished shopping when it was super slow at night and was told I had to wait for the only register open instead of being able to check out in the self-checkout like normal. Waited in line for about 30 minutes and could have checked out myself 5 or 6 times in the time I waited. I recommend changing the policy because it is going to cost you sales and make customers with low patience pissed off. This policy makes perfect sense during peak hours, not late at night when there are 4 or 5 self-checkout lanes vacant and a long line going into the aisle for the only register open for 20+ items. Whether it's a corporate or management policy, please tell them the idea absolutely sucks. EDIT: If you go 60-90 minutes before closing they haven't been enforcing the policy lately when I have gone because they don't have any cashiers working (no other place to go but self-checkout). I'm a late night shopper, so it hasn't been much of an issue lately.
