Pitch and Fiddle Fair Oaks

I had the fortune of stumbling upon this little gem. When we came in we could hear somebody singing from the kitchen it was really cute. The bartender created a seasoned and very down-home vibe. When I mentioned my liking for IPAs, he recommended one that I might enjoy. I asked about getting some corned beef, the chef personally came out and said he would make me a side order, even though it's typically not served solo. The pub has a super accommodating, old-school, down-home vibe with a modern upgraded look. I would definitely visit again. The corned beef was delicious, the beer selection was great, and my friend enjoyed a well-made Tequila Sunrise. Looking forward to returning soon. Although my pictures only capture the bar area, it was completely full, with a few couples enjoying lunch during our visit. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian salad options. Macaroni and cheese mozzarella sticks...

Phone numbee isnt working so i walked in to place a to-go order. Was actively ignored by 3 different employees. Aka, all the people working there. I waited politely at the bar while the bartender chatted with another customer, but you could have atleast checked in or acknowledged me at all. So i went and stood back by the door and watched two other employees look at me and go fill drinks or do other things. So the message was clear you dont want new customers, so i left. I think i made the right choice. Feels lile a sterile chachkies sports pub, not a real pub.

Literally the best bar in fair oaks, you'll have to drive several miles in any direction to find a spot as large and fun at this one, there's TVs everywhere, the saff is fun and welcoming, you get a complete resturant with a hole in the wall bar feel. Might be the best spot in the area without having to drive downtown.

I really wish their waitresses cared about customers who come in for a meal. This is a common occurrence; there is one waitress weve had a couple of times who does a great job, but most are more interested in socializing with their friends. The food is great. I really like their fish and chips. Our waitress (lunchtime on Friday, March 22) stood at a table talking to a lady the majority of the time. She didnt bother to bring the hot chili dipping sauce I asked for when I ordered. I literally had to wave at her to get her to come over, and its not like she was paying attention so it took more than a simple hand signal to get any service. Lots of TVs. Booths are comfortable. Like I started with, I wish their waitresses cared about customers who arent their friends. That statement is based on multiple visits ever since they opened.
