I have read where some people thought the decor was a bit dated. But seriously, have you ever been to a deli in New York that wasn't dated? This place has a very East Coast feel in the decor. My dining partner is from Philly and said that the decor reminded him of places he knew back home. Besides it adds to the charm of the place and keeps those that are only looking for a nice setting moving along. This is a place best left to the those that know it and/or appreciate the kitschy-ness of it. We both had the prime rib French dip. I had the coleslaw and he had double fries. The sandwiches were awesome!! So much meat!! Thinly sliced, nicely rare pink on soft delicious rolls with tasty au jus. We were both in heaven. Then came the chocolate raspberry mousse cake. A slice of heaven. We thoroughly enjoyed the place and were pleased to see that they also serve breakfast. We will definitely come back some weekend for breakfast.

Love this place. I don't know why some wrote that it is expensive because it is NOT expensive. The portions are large and the food is great, pretty basic menu just like home cooking. I've had the best omelet ever at Sam's. The decor is old, but I love the old fashioned red banquets. Service is good and fast. I highly recommend this place, but if you are looking for a fancy restaurant, look elsewhere.

Food is really good a little high on there pricing. Need to be up dated.
