Griggs Steven T PhD

I became inspired to be a therapist because of Steve. I want to help others the way Dr. Griggs helped me. I went back and finished college, and am seeking a happy, meaningful life. I'm proud of who I've become and I owe a big chunk of this to Dr. Griggs.

Incredibly rude and condescending. After receiving an email from him to confirm or cancel, with instructions on how to cancel via voicemail, I called him and left a voicemail four hours prior to say I had found another provider. He insisted that he did not receive the voicemail, which ok fine, that can happen (though I always ensure I wait for the automated message that my voicemail has been sent). When I told him the reason I was not at the appointment, he said "and so you just called me this morning? nice going", and hung up without warning. During my first call to schedule an appointment, I was already a little wary, so glad I followed my instincts there.

I saw Dr, Griggs several times and he always guided me to work through the hard stuff. He is practical, knowledgeable and I highly recommend him.

Griggs was great! He was patient, understanding, and sympathetic. He gave me perspective and provided tools to help me with my issues. I highly recommend.

It's taking me a few years to write this review. I was so traumatized by my sessions with him. I was highly abused as a child. Instead of offering compassion he said that I was an angry female. He also overbilled me and criticize me on a regular basis. Now that I have recovered and Sara a real therapist I can't believe he's still practicing. Stay as far away from this guy as possible he has a major issues
