The office Staff is very rude and may need a bit of training on communication, discrimination and organization. There should be an understanding that if you dont know or have the answers to something then you shall seek the information with some work even if its more work than usual in order to secure accuracy. The staff was irritable because they were expecting a call back from my employer and my current residence. They had been working on this for only two days and seemed to be in a bit of a rush . I got multiple calls from them saying if we dont hear back from your employer by today then we cant move forward or we still need to hear back as soon as possible because its becoming too much and the number online isnt working (I work for the state) I am on the work number also the state can be behind as most know to do call backs and reply to emails and it can be hard to get a immediate response. I can understand if this was a week wait but two days this was a bit much. I talked to my hr and they got to it as soon as they were able as I let them know the urgency just to be denied later. I walked in with my paperwork after being scheduled an appointment to finish up the application and Angelica the leasing agent up front forgot about our appointment for starters and had a attitude because she is unsure how to read paystubs from the State of California. I had to show her a paper that showed that she wrote the time and date on a note of the appointment for that day. I showed her my paper checks and she said she never seen stubs like this. I proceeded to not only call my hr in front of her but also log into my work portal showing my stubs for clarification. She seemed very agitated. I said to her that I know me having locs (African American)coming in with sport attire I get criticism a lot for having the type of career I have but these are definitely real and She proceeded to laugh and I told her the laugh was the indication of truth I was judged . She said we just wanted to make sure with a smile. I still remained professional and awaited the process. She stated that adding my kids who visit every other weekend may not help during the process with my income after already approving me in the beginning they were not added to the lease just to deny me later stating that I will make too much in the following year to rent the apartment .Melina her supervisor was no help as well. I was going to rent a apartment on the third floor. The apartment showed was on the first floor and looks like they have a lot of trouble with bugs.

I have been on this waitlist for years for this low income apartment. The last time I have received and email was in April of this year. I replied to the email and have not received anything. I had a friend apply right after me and I just was told by her she looked at apartments today. I called and spoke to Melina, I asked her why I would no longer be on the wait list she said they sent out an email to 500 people and I wasnt one of them. Im more concerned about the fact the lady was rude and cutting me off and not listening to me tell her I received an email a few months back and just kept cutting me off and saying we didnt send one we didnt send one. I found out one was in April and one recently. Its extremely hard to look for apartments like these let alone sit on a wait list that long hoping and praying you can get one and she just tells you they switched management and theres nothing she can do. I asked her to look into it and contact me and she said shed try. Id appreciate if I could get someone to help me with this since Ive been waiting for so long!
