If you're a plus size person (over XL) like myself, there is not a clothes selection here for you! All under XL mostly mall named brands.

Okay. Small store. Not many home goods at all. Prices for clothing was by item type and not individual item.

This year, I've gotten more into thrifting as it's a favorite hobby of my partner. He loves fashion and actually used to work at this Goodwill when he was in high school. During his time here, he ended up thrifting a lot of his favorite jackets. However, the place has changed a lot since then. Prices have raised and the men's section has shrunk. Now the men's section consists of two aisles while the women's section thrives. Compared to other Goodwills, there are a lot of great finds here for clothes that are trending. I normally just window-shop, but this is the first time I left with a handful of clothes. Their clothing is also in great condition and not a stain in sight. I found an adorable denim heart Betsy Johnson tote bag while I was here and two pairs of egoist jeans that fit the y2k style. Although this leads me to their cons. While one of the jeans fit my waist perfectly, the other was too small and tight around my thighs. I could not sit comfortably in them. I was taking a risk though on purchasing them as the Goodwill does not provide sizes for most of the pants. Most tags will say NA for "not available" on telling the size. There is also no fitting room which is a bummer since most Goodwills used to provide one. Ever since the start of Covid, most Goodwills have not bothered to bring back their changing rooms. I think this is also a tactic they use to make you buy the item. Because of this, Plato's wins a point from me as they provide fitting rooms. Another issue I have with this location is that the prices are hit or miss. Ever since thrifting became more popular, the prices have raised. The Betsy Johnson bag costed $24.99 and most of their bags were priced similar to how Plato's prices their bags. Therefore, you're not getting a better deal from either location. However, some Goodwills still sell their bags for a lot cheaper such as the Goodwill in Fremont. Although, this Goodwill still did better pricing for jeans compared the one in Modesto. An important piece of advice is to check all Goodwills when thrifting because you'll never know what you find even though the prices may vary. On the bright side, this Goodwill is more organized than other locations with only some clothes being in the wrong size section.I also enjoyed the customer service here the most out of the other Goodwills. An Asian lady was working the counter and she was extremely friendly and talkative. I didn't get a chance to chat with the other workers, but they were all attentive to the customers they were helping. Overall, all the workers had a very friendly and welcoming environment. I would definitely come here more often in the future, but I would not recommend this store for men or those who prefer to shop in the men's section. This is because they don't have much to offer for men like they used to before. Other Goodwills have a bigger section for them as opposed to this location.
