Dr. Hilo is the best dentist we ever had! My sister is not ambulatory and is also non verbal; however, that did not stop Dr. Hilo from providing the best accommodations weve experienced thus far. Thank you for all your hard work, we greatly appreciate it!

Dr hilo is a god send angel my autistic son would not let any body work on his mouth and dr hilo and his staff treat it us with so much patentice and care the ladys at the front office are very nice and caring if i could give dr hilo 100 star i would he is doing such a good job caring for our special needs kids

I recently had an exceptional experience with this doctor and his incredible staff. The level of care and professionalism was outstanding. This Doctors expertise and the genuine concern of his staff made my visit comfortable and reassuring. I am so grateful to have found Dr. Hilo in Diamond Bar (San Bernardino) for my brothers desperately needed general anesthesia for a dental exam, X-rays, teeth extractions and follow up dentures in process. It was impossible to get any type of dental services for my brother due to his brain injury and age (as an adult) in San Diego where we live. In San Diego, there are no dentists for Adults who require general anesthesia in a hospital setting, even those who have sensory issues from brain injuries. Adults do not qualify for payment of services by the San Diego Regional Center related to general anesthesia in a hospital setting, unless their brain injury occurs prior to the age of 18 (the San Diego Regional Center will step in to pay for services but only for children (or adults, if and only if, the adults brain injury occurred when under the age of 18) After two years of looking for a dentist who could help my brother, Denti-cal referred us SDSU, who referred us to UCLA. I finally reached a willing and able Dental Home (UCLA) for my brother, but I could only put him on their 16 month waitlist (November 2023 to February, 2025) Over a year and 4 months waitlist just to get an office evaluation to determine if general anesthesia was required for the insurance company to authorize ex rays under sedation. I was referred to Dr Hilo the same day, after putting him on the UCLA waitlist. Dr Hilos office staff took my call and heard my brothers situation and offered us an appointment to come in right away in slot from a cancelation. My brother was seen by Dr Hilo that very week. Office staff began collecting medical records quickly the same day for the anesthesiologist to review for clearance. There was another cancelation so Dr Hilo offered to have my brother come in immediately upon authorization from the anesthesiologist and together they worked exceptionally well with the public guardian to get their consent. Today Dr Hilo just completed the entire process of required general anesthesia, Xrays, extraction and impressions for full dentures all paid by denti-cal. His anesthesiologist is excellent and took excellent care of my brother who has sensory issues to ensure he was safely under general anesthesia for Dr Hilo to provide services. His assistant helped redirect my brothers attention for the anesthesiologist. Its a miracle, because to the day I received word he was eligible health wise for anesthesia, my brothers deteriorating teeth crumbled in his mouth just brushing them, causing him pain and infection. Without Dr Hilos office staff and support team who worked closely with me to get my brother in quickly, we would not have had any resource in San Diego or in Los Angeles to respond to my brothers dental health emergency. I am deeply grateful to Dr Hilo, his office staff, support team and his Anesthesiologist.
