What a find. Was extremely well looked after by all the staff. Very quiet location and situated between Palm Springs and Joshua Tree. Wonderful breakfast and the pool area was great. Had the best massage ever from Angel. Great Mexican restaurant nearby called Delicious and superb salads and healthy options. 300 metres away at Azure Cafe. PLEASE get rid of all the plastic packaging though and then it will be 5 stars. Rooms: Wonderful rooms, big TV and superb details, shower etc. everything you need.

We were looking for affordable hotels in the greater Palm Springs area. Everything in the immediate area was so expensive and/or overpriced. My wife kept looking online and found this jewel in the desert - Onsen Hotel & Spa. While it is not as close to Palm Springs as other properties, it is worth the 15-minute drive. When we checked-in, we were greeted by Jessica who walked us to our room and asked if we had any questions. What a pleasant personal touch! The rooms are clean and in good condition. Onsen offered complimentary continental breakfast each morning we stayed. Tracy was the person we met in the morning and she was just as pleasant as Jessica. The centerpiece of the property is the pool and spa. As advertised and corroborated by a New York Times article, the pool and spa feature natural mineral water that do not leave your skin itchy from chlorine. At night, Jessica checked on us to make sure we did not need anything and placed lovely table lamps to provide a nice ambiance. Overall, we could not recommend enough Onsen Hotel & Spa. The people, the property and the wonderful staff make it a joy to stay here. We are definitely coming back and telling all of our friends who overpay for hotels in the Palm Desert area. Congratulations to the entire team for making us feel a valued customer. Rooms: The rooms were recently renovated and clean, which is highly important to us.

Beautiful new boutique hotel run by the sweetest lady. I'm ashamed I didn't catch anyone's names, but the ladies at reception were always so helpful and so friendly. Continental breakfast was delicious! I had assumed since the property is small, it would just be a few pre-packaged muffins, but there were pastries, fresh fruit, omelets (!), oatmeal/cereal/all the trimmings, etc. Our room was spacious, immaculate and beautifully furnished. We saw a few people using the spa/pool and it looked so lovely. Can't speak to the location as we spent most of our time out of Desert Hot Springs. Thank you for having us!
