Beware, I had to report them for unsafe sleep practices. I was informed they were cited once the investigation took place. Please do your due diligence on where you send your babies. This was heartbreaking

My family and I had a great experience with care given to our son. Miss Savannah (director) , Domique (infant class teacher), and all the teachers were amazing. We liked being greeted with smiles each time we entered the facility and the communication between teachers and parents . We appreciated the services provided and would recommend them to anyone in need of childcare.

We have had our son attending San Juan Preschool for 3 years now. He is 4. In the beginning things were good. Infants were getting adequate attention needs were being met you could tell the teachers loved kids. Over the course of the last year a toxic environment has started to form. The Director and her daughter who actually yell at the children, other teachers etc. they have lost 4 great teachers since January that have all gone to other schools. 2 of these teachers stated to parents they were bullied daily by the director and her daughter. The daughter who isn't even certified to be a daycare teacher. That leads me to my next point:My son has come home on numerous occasions in the last month stating that "the teachers yell at us" and "miss (daughter of director) gets frustrated and yells at us" - red flag! For anyone that has a 3-5 years old, you know for a fact that getting frustrated and yelling at them only amplifies they're behavior. Especially in a group of 10-15. Since the last 2 teachers left in April, it is apparent that the daycare has been "just getting by" and basically watching the kids all day instead of interacting, teaching, and helping the kids learn. This is all on top of the fact that in the last 2 years the daycare has had to to have emergency shut downs as in: come pick up your kid now or were closed today (at 7am) due to lack of maintenance around the facility:For example: AC has gone out 3 times in middle of summer, prompting DAYS of closures. Heater has gone out in winter, gas leaks, roof repairs, water shut off staffing issues. All with almost no notice. All things that we have had to be accommodating about and can be because we both have flexible work schedules. Other parents were not so lucky, missing work/pay etc. Moral of the story is: don't take your kid here. There development will stall, behavior will deteriorate and you will be left feeling like a bad parent because of how they treat your child.

Updated Review: My 5 year olds last day of care was August 2021. Prior to the week leading up to her last day of care, we received messages of closures due to COVID. Isabella has attended this preschool off and on for almost 2 years. On the surface, everything "looks" great. But it's deeper than that for parents, especially looking for concerns/issues below the surface. These are people you're going to leave your child with, so obviously you have to CONFIDE in these people, right? Personally, I felt like the staff here truly cared about my child. But towards the end, I quickly realized that may have not been the case. For starters, my daughter was bullied on several occasions. When it was brought to their attention I received responses that there are more kids than there are teachers, which isn't a response you want to give to a parent. All it takes is a second. Children should have undivided attention eyes/ears on them 24/7. Especially 3-5 year olds. To this day, my daughter is STILL haunted and suffering from the bullying she encountered. There's no excuse or tolerance for bullying and it should be addressed and accommodated to in a quick and efficient manner. These years are crucial to children as they're learning to make friends and socialize. I truly felt that SJPS lacked resolving any bullying situations. Secondly, I inquired about a letter I needed to enroll my child into Kinder multiple times with no response or logical explanation on why they couldn't simply take a few minutes out of their day to write a letter for me. The letter was needed by the future school essentially saying that my child was prepared for Kindergarten. I let it go and had to figure out other means. You'd think that the teachers wanted to help a student they've been providing care for for months, right? Or is it all a bluff? And finally, what really got to me and broke my heart is that I reached out expressing Isabella would want to say her goodbyes to her friends and staff who've been providing care for that she's built relationships with and received no response! That's traumatizing and it makes me seriously question if these people ever really cared about my child? And a side note, she had belongings there that I inquired about picking up and no response. You be the judge of that. Actions speak volumes. And I'll leave it at that.
