I have lived in housing at the Meadows for approx. 3 years, across 2 units (1.5 yr in 2 bedroom and currently living in smaller unit).
I work a 9-6 career job and have run into many friendly people here. Neighbor-wise, quality varies. The 2 bedroom did have roaches, but to be fair, a lot of that has to do with the region we live in. They never appeared in big numbers. My current unit has never had roaches. The architecture is a little lean ajd there are signs of its age, but all systems are satisfactory.
I enjoy living here, and the leasing office has only ever treated me with high respect. I have been diligent and timely with all communication and requests. I have filed several maintenance claims here, and they were both addressed within 24 hours.
If I were to make one pivotal recommendation, it would be to prioritize the laundry systems. They have issues quite regularly, but luckily I have learned which ones work through trial and error!

Not a good place to live.
1. There are cockroaches, they spray once a month every single month meaning that you have to clean and move all of your items for them to spray EVERY single month.
2. If you have a problem, the land lady will legit accuse you of lying about the problem and come up with excuses as to why things cant be fixed.
3. Maintenance does a poor job at fixing things, expect it to be broke again the next day. Poor caulking jobs as well and poor paint jobs.
4. The land lady is very rude and legit puffs on her vape pen in the office and in your face. Shes very manipulative and likes to scam. If you call her out on it, expect to have her try to ruin your life.
Heres my experience.
After moving from a toxic and abusive household, my sister and I decided to move into The Meadows in July to find solace, to start over, and raise my sisters 1 year old son. We were not allowed to see the apartment we were moving into until after we paid and moved in (red flag). We were so excited to move in though! Sadly, upon first day we noticed problems.
My bedroom door did not have a door handle. My bedroom didnt have a closet door. (All which they fixed once I told them about it. They said it was an honest mistake). The paint job everywhere was terrible, it looked like they used paint thinner to paint the walls. There were pieces of tape that were just painted over. Even bugs and hair. The caulking on the bathtub started coming off just after a couple of days.
Worse of all though, cockroaches. They spray every single month which causes you to exert your own energy and take time out of your day just for the cockroaches to still be there. The sprays do nothing and obviously if they have to spray every month, they have an infestation. The other thing was that we had outlets not working and lights flickering/ going out which would cause our Wi-Fi to go out. It was not until we reported them that finally sent 2 people over to fix it. At first, tried accusing my sister and I of lying.
The worst of it.
In September, my sister lost work. I emailed letting her know about my situation and how I was the only one working/ providing money. I let her know I would not be able to pay rent all by the first every month until my sister finds work again, but that Ill be able to pay it off in increments or late since I have other bills and have a 1 year old child Im taking care of. told me this was fine and that she understood. She told me that she would work with us because she wants us to stay.
Finally, my sister and I get the money together for September rent including the late fee we had to pay for being late. We get the money order and turn it in.
denied our rent. gave us no excuses as to why she wouldnt accept our rent, just that she wouldnt. My sister and I found it really confusing. About a few weeks later in October, right before my birthday and Halloween, we got served.
The Meadows sued us for not paying Septembers rent.
It was baffling. Confusing. Shocking. My sister and I were just confused because we did turn in our rent including late fee. We didnt see a problem with that, especially after said The Meadows would work with us. Why are we being sued?
Immediately, my sister and I got a lawyer and started to fight back. One, because we were unfairly being sued and evicted. Two, because of all the cockroaches and problems we have had since weve moved and they want to sue us?
Sadly, because we didnt have money to pay for it, the judge wouldnt even listen to our case so had us go through the eviction process during Thanksgiving and evicted us a couple days after the Holiday along with my sisters 1 year old son and my service dog.
I am personally telling everyone I know about my experience and this place, especially who likes to vape in your face while talking to you. I am also sharing my experience as well.
My sister and I are still suing for this has been a traumatic time for us and baby.
