After 62 years of dodging the need of a root canal, the day finally came. My dentist referred me to Carlsbad Village Endodontics and when I called for the appointment, the office manager sensed fear in my voice and was very kind and assuring that all would be fine. I was assigned an appointment with Dr. Greiner. The dreaded day arrived and after the paperwork, a discussion as to the costs of the procedure (if needed), I was ushered onto the chair and after some X-rays and scanning by Delilah, the skillful assistant, Dr. Greiner came in and a few tests were performed to verify the sensitivity and pain levels of my bad tooth. He walked me through the situation with images and explanations of the needed procedure. He stressed his objective was to do the work with no pain and that meant a lot to me, due to all the horror stories I had heard about root canals! He numbed me up and went to work. There was one point during the procedure where I felt the nerve in my tooth wake up a bit, so he stopped, put some anesthetic into the work area, and voila! The rest of the procedure was indeed pain-free. My bum tooth was repaired. We go through life seeking to find qualified people to help us with our needs (mechanics, CPAs, doctors, endodontists, etc.) and when we find people who are skilled artisans of their craft, we keep them in our lives as long as we can. Dr. Greiner is one of those skilled artisans we are grateful to have found. He is personable, interested, affable, caring, and knows his way around a tricky tooth. this whole office was wonderful to me. they were able to squeeze me in 2x for emergency appts during very busy time. dr greiner is incredibly understanding and kind, and fair. he not only took care of my issue at hand but he went above & beyond because i have trigeminal neuralgia and he really took the time to explain some helpful tips -- far past what any other endodontist would care to delve in to. i was leaving for a 10 day trip to Chicago, in the dead of winter, so he did a little procedure to alleviate some of pain. i thought about how helpful that was the entire trip. I'm still following the other tips he gave me. using a child's toothbrush has made a major difference to me. i could go on and on about how helpful he was. I'll forever be grateful. very quality of an operation here. the front desk lady was also very kind.

My husband and I had a very bad interaction with the Office Manager who seems to run the place. She was rude, and hung up on me. On some sort of power trip. I guess the tail wags the dog!. She alone decides who will be a patient and who will not. Because my husband forgot about two appointments, no reminders, no phone calls, the Office Manager single handedly decided she did not want him as a patient. When asked about their customer policy, she said it is "verbal" which means she can refuse service to anyone who has the wrong cloths on or has the wrong skin color. In 2024 customer service means something. It means the place where you are going to spend a lot of money needs to treat everyone with respect and kindness. The Office Manager was unprofessional when dealing with my husband who called to reschedule. The response he got was: don't call us, we'll call you. This was over a month ago. How dare this place and its staff treat my Marine husband in such a despicable manner. This behavior stops now! After reaching out in private email and asking me to remove my review, the response from John is attached. They did not treat us with respect and have the audacity to use passive aggressive underhanded quips after I refused to remove the review.
