Gooch Training Academy

If I could give this gym over 5 stars I would. I have been training Jiu Jitsu San Francisco for 5 years now but frequently go down to LA/Tarzana area to visit my family and am grateful to have found a place like GTA to train at while I am in town. Everyone is extremely welcoming and makes you feel right at home. It can be intimidating as a female to walk into your non home/regular gym but the team and instructors made me feel incredibly comfortable. The instructors made sure I was paired with people who were a good fit for my size and ability, which was greatly appreciated. Also, I can't say enough about the level of skill that GTA produces and I always am challenged and walk away with more knowledge than I came in with. Plus as a bonus, there is a very cute pup named Bolt that greets you and will give your sweaty face a kiss if you sit out a round. There is more I could say about how awesome this place is but will steer away from writing an entire novel...just go check it out for yourself!

This gym is a lot more than a gym. If you allow yourself, you will find a home here, a family, endless support and encouragement, both in and out of the gym. The coaching is unbeatable. There are lots of competitors, hobbyists, and those just trying out something new. The facilities are all too notch, and always clean. If youre looking for a gym to really grow and excel in and out of your martial arts training, this is the place to be.

Really great gym, with great instructors and a friendly atmosphere. Coach Rob was amazing, and really helped me build myself up as a beginner. The people at the gym are nice and friendly. The gym is super clean and the training equipment is great. Definitely recommended!
