I would give them a zero rating if that was an option. They sold items that were not marked as final sale, did not tell us at checkout and then lied about why they wouldn't refund our money. $50.00 may not be much to some people but it is a lot to us! NEVER AGAIN WILL WE GIVE THEM THE OPPORTUNITY TO CHEAT US OUT OF OUR HARD EARNED MONEY.

For some reason they have to close the pharmacy for lunch.  The pharmacy has multiple people working and for some reason they think that they should all go to lunch together.  What they should do is stagger their lunches so that they can remain open during business hours.The store itself does not close for lunch, just the pharmacy.

This review is about the pharmacy staff esp the female pharmacist. The blatant disrespectful, unprofessional and unethical treatment I received from the pharmacist is disgusting to say the least. A prescription had been sent by my daughters surgeon to this cvs as the cvs closer to me was out of stock, and that pharmacist who's great, said another cvs pharmacy would fill and not only did the pharmacist refuse to fill this prescription that in no way violates FDA regulations as she proclaimed as well as stating by law she can't fill it as it is not approved by the FDA, also that it's not allowed for that type of surgery; she caused further pain & distress to my 3 year old daughter who had just had surgery in that this whole ordeal took over 2 hours, caused added unnecessary pain & suffering to my child, & as a disabled Veteran with PTSD the stress and treatment I received caused me to have a panic attack! First upon going to pick up prescription the pharmacy tech lied and stated my insurance won't cover so they won't fill, yet they do cover it, and me saying I'd pay out of pocket my child needs the medicine then to have the pharmacist lie to me it's not FDA approved and she won't fill. I then went outside and called surgeons office as well as looked up FDA regulations and the surgeon's office specializing in pediatrics stated they've never had this issue with this prescription and to read that it is not not approved by the FDA was infuriating. Surgeons office called over and spoke to pharmacist when I went back in she still refused to fill prescription then when I informed her it in fact isn't illegal, it is utilized for that type of surgery at times as she had lied and stated before it wasn't; she then retracted and said it's "contradicted" so I said since it's not illegal and you've spoken to the doctor directly and she also confirmed it is allowed she then started saying she's the one with the degrees and this is her field of expertise, insulting me as if I were stupid because she was proved wrong. FYI your degrees do not matter, yet clearly your degrees didn't teach you about common decency and how to be professional, do your job, & fill my baby's prescription! Then when I told her she's jeopardizing my child's health  and needs to fill the prescription or have another pharmacist fill it she said she was calling the cops on me; and she did. I waited outside for LE to show up. Upon speaking to the police I was informed she had lied on me to them claiming harassment and discrimination, like what!? The police officers said after all that hassle and it being approved why would I want to give cvs my money to try and have doctor send prescription elsewhere and then they went in and spoke to her. After speaking to the pharmacist the police came back outside saying nothing to me and proceeded to get in their cars. The pharmacist then came out huffing and puffing shaking her head and spoke to the police again they must of told her to go inside because she turned around and walked back into the store disgruntled, but needed to stare me down while walking past my car. I drove up the street to a completely different pharmacy and what do you know the prescription was lawful and written correctly abiding by FDA regulations, I received no hassle, no refusal based on lies and sheer laziness to do her job, no disrespect, no making my baby wait over 2 hours for medicine she needed & filled in 10 minutes and that's with having to implement her insurance. Disgusting, ridiculous and it never ever should of happened; nor should my child or I been subjected to or put through this!!!

I loathe this store. Sometimes out of a shear desire for convenience I have a doctor route a Rx their way, rather than my usual much cheaper and more efficient pharmacy, Costco. I made that mistake today. Pharmacy appears understaffed on all days and at all times. Waits are long and mistakes are often made. I realized one of those mistakes - I was overcharged - was made today after I got home. Trying to get this corrected is impossible either through store personnel or on CVS' web site. I called the store 5 times. The only thing I was able to do was wait on hold for the store manager - "he's the only one who can do anything" - who never picked up. I have no desire to physically go back to that store, wait in line again to be waited on for the highly uncertain prospect that they will admit to understanding my issue, let alone correcting it. CVS' web site is useless. It seems designed first and foremost to put barriers between customers with problems and everyone at CVS. It probably doesn't matter anyway if the corporate office of this gigantic company is anything like the store on Balfour, which doesn't want to help, just shuffle you off to a number they know won't be answered.Avoid this store at all possible.

The Balfour store, Brentwood,CA is wonderful. The employees always remember me by name. And EVERY time I place an online order to pick up in store, it's ready literally in minutes. Today it was ready in 4 minutes. This store is the best.
