We had a quartz kitchen countertop intalled Oct 2022. In December 2023 we started noticing problems. Their warranty was 1 year, and even though we are barely outside that window they will not fix it without charging us. Blocktop wants $200 trip charge, plus $700 to fix the countertop and $642 to disconnect and reconnect the sink and plumbing. Turns out they did not install this countertop correctly which is why it's failing. We paid a lot of money for this and we expect that when Home Depot recommended them that the job would be done correctly. I would not trust either company for future projects. We are so disappointed !

Home Depot customer here: I read the reviews of this place as soon as I learned they were the subcontractors for Home Depot countertop installs. Didn't really take them too seriously. How bad could they be if Home Depot vouches for them, right? Wrong. Communication with them was a little bad from the beginning, but not horrible. The two problems I had with them came the day of installation. 1. One end of our vanity countertop was not polished. It was somehow left unfinished. The workmen polished it on site after a bit of confusion. Though, it's not eased well like the rest of the edges. *01/13 Update: Wow! I discovered that this edge isn't even square either. Updated with the photo for proof. This company has serious quality control issues. I am regretting their work now. Thanks, Block Tops! 2. Somehow, Block Tops really messed up the corner of our other vanity. There's a difference of 1/2" on this side. It's not even square (see the photos). Now that I have seen it, I can't unsee it. I mentioned these two things in my review with Home Depot, but I never heard back. If you're a Home Depot customer reading this, inspect every piece they bring to you. Because clearly, QC is an issue here.

I recommend working with their preferred Plumber company it made our lives more convenient and I'm glad we didn't cut corners to try and find a Plumber that was cheaper, trying to find one that can work around the project schedule is tough, and Blocktops makes it easy for you in terms of scheduling just work with their Plumber for disconnect and reconnect. Lastly, I think a success criteria for any remodel in your home is to over communicate and to expect bumps in the road, no project is perfect especially if you are getting new appliances during the demo/installation phase like we did, so my advice to you is to be super patient, thankful, positive and flexible.
