The last of the independent hardware stores where folks are there to help. Support these guys so the big box stores don't take over and continue to provide little to no help for those of us who need a little help.

My wife came in to buy a piece of lumber.  When she asked for help to secure it, one of the associates closed the store  and said "sorry, that's as good as your going to get.". My wife then had to wait for over an hour for me to come and secure the lumber so we could leave. This isn't the only time they have been outright rude to both me and my wife. I'm not sure why they act this way toward their customers, but i will never step foot in this store again. In spite of the fact that the store is less than a mile from our house, I will drive to any other big box store for a 1 nail rather than give another dime to them.
