This used to be a good place to walk but in the last few months there has been dog poop EVERYWHERE! And I mean everywhere. On the trail and all right along the trail. It's typical to see a little bit of that in other parks and hiking areas in Tucson but this is the worst I've seen. The massive amount of poop has made these trails completely unenjoyable. FYI to those who refuse to follow the rules and choose to ruin nature for others-- Dog poop can carry harmful bacteria, parasites, or viruses. It can make people, especially children, very sick. It is also dangerous to wildlife and other dogs. Many parasites require days to weeks to reach the infective stage, so feces becomes more hazardous to your health the longer it sits. In addition- Pima County REQUIRES owners to pick up their pets' waste with fines between $100 and $500 and up to 30 days in jail for noncompliance.
