Worst place to work and to have a pool built by this company. The way the lead guy handles customers is not acceptable and only care to make their money and thats that. They make mistakes and try to blame the customer and have no respect whatsoever! They lie about what is really going on. Second they dont have you do the onboarding process before walking on to a job site which could cause so many issue not only for the client having work done but for the company and the employee! Then they dont want to pay you ! They are withholding my checks due to the onboarding not being done but dont want to pay me to do the onboarding. I have now resigned for working for pools by design and they are still holding on to my check(s). I would not recommend this company to anyone who wants to work here nor anyone who wants to get a pool built ! RESPONSE TO THE OWNER WHO REPLIED This young man has only ever made one other review , this would be my second and first for a company that Ive worked for. By far the worst place to work get your work done by them as they just try to cover up and lie! I repeat Ive only made one other review and according to his response I have a history of it ? That shows that they will continue to lie to make them self not look bad ! 3weeks and I was out of there, due to this reason and others ! I have a business of my own and I know how to treat my clients, and workers so I know what things should be like ! They are just not professional at all. The lead stated he would punch a client in the face just because the client asked for the water to not be turned off anymore because of his error of not communicating properly with the customer about what time he was going to do so ! You keep lying and trying to cover things up and I will continue to show the people the truth ! You guys need to get things corrected !! UPDATE Pt. 2 They have now removed there response showing that they will continue to try to cover up when proven wrong after trying to make me seem like I was in the wrong and making false claims about me ! They have contacted me and have asked that I removed the review,I dont see that it would be fair to do so as I am sharing my honest experience with this company ! They asked for me to go in to the office and speak to them and only then will they give me hard earned money that they have not been wanting to pay me and have been making my life more difficult! Please be careful with this company !

We have worked with Pools By Design for many Years they are always Far above standard professionalism. It is Nice to Work with a very trustworthy Pool Builder That always gets it done Right.

Knowing nothing about pools I was fortunate to have Ashlynd Tahys assistance in designing the pool, hardscape, and landscaping for the barren backyard of our new house. Ashlynd and the Pools by Design team were immensely helpful from beginning to end. Two items stand out. When the first samples of the travertine hardscaping showed up at the Pools by Design office Ashlynd didnt like the color. She called me to come in and see and I agreed with her. We changed the order to a lighter shade that looks fantastic. Secondly, we had been swimming for a couple of months at the time of the final Pools by Design inspection walk-through. I had a barrage of pool chemistry and equipment questions. On Pools by Designs dime Ashlynd arranged a second Pool School for me with a pool professional that they contracted. It was an excellent session, and he found a minor setup item that he thought should be changed. Pools by Design paid him to make the change. My experience with Pools by Design was excellent.
