I have been discussing a caregiver with my mom for almost 3 years. She discovered Jan on NextDoor and began to be open to meeting her. My mother had a medical procedure recently and needed care. Jan was brilliant with her. She felt cared for and safe with Jan. I live on the east coast and my heart was at peace knowing my mom was taken care of. Please read this review I came to Tucson recently after a life threatening surgery and then further complications with my illness. I have been in the care of several medical practitioners and I was physically exhausted but mostly frightened about what was happening to me. Jan came from a friend of my sister because I was in need of immediate home care with someone I could trust. Immediately when she walked into my room I felt the presence of God and a human being who is a comforter with exceptional knowledge, compassion and insight to what the patient is feeling in the moment. This is very rare as it is something I believe cultivated by the passion of one driven to help make a wonderful difference during a patients time of uncertainty. My family has employed Jan Taplin since 2018. We initially hired her to help care for our father. We are now using Jan's agency, A+ Elder Care, to coordinate the care for our mother. Jan is enthusiastic, empathetic and extremely knowledgeable. She has always gone above and beyond to help our family. She has coordinated the care that makes it possible for my 94 year old mother to remain in her own home. Whether it's day to day care or a health crisis we know that our mother will receive excellent care. The advantage to using a small private agency is the level of personal care that is delivered as well as the excellent communication with our family. We also know that Jan is meticulous in vetting her employees. We are confident that her employees will be excellent caregivers.
