Principals Lee's letter to current and future students of Desert Rose Academy, a Tucson High School:Desert Rose Academy is a public education institution serving a diverse community. We provide an equitable learning opportunity in a safe environment for all students. Our mission is to train in the fundamental skills that will be used to graduate high school and prepare for college or a career, to expand on how students learn how to think by encouraging them to take ownership of their education by setting personal goals, and to create life options by offering a wide variety of courses with access to current technology. Our goal here at Desert Rose Academy is for students, their parents, the community and staff to join in as partners to educate and empower students for present and future individual achievement, to promote contributing to their community, and to prepare them to compete in a constantly changing global society.We believe Desert Rose and the community can join in a partnership to provide a safe, attractive, and orderly learning environment. This positive climate promotes healthy lifestyles, where students realize the importance of lifelong learning, take responsibility for high personal and educational standards, and feel a greater sense of self-worth and belonging.
