Principals Vigilant's letter to current and future students of Pima Rose Academy, a Tucson High School:Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students of Pima Rose Academy,Welcome to what I believe will be a fantastic school year full of personal, professional, and academic growth. As for the staff and me, we are energized and deeply committed to making a positive difference in the lives of our students. At Pima Rose Academy, our commitment to our mission of ‘Honoring the Promise of Education’ is stronger than ever.First, we will: 1. Set high academic expectations for all students (ourselves included) 2. Provide supportive systems to assure your academic goals are met 3. Make sure that we are doing our part of assisting you by communicating, educating and supporting you with your academic needs 4. Engage the community on your behalf in order to offer support and services for you (i.e.: colleges, job service, U.S. Armed services, etc...) 5. Make sure that when you graduate, you are ready for the next step in your life whether it be college, training or technical school or a careerStudents, you help by: 1. Coming to school each day prepared to learn and interact with our curriculum and teachers 2. Make sure your weekly attendance requirement is met 3. Pay attention and adhere to assignment due dates in your coursework 4. Take advantage of parent-teacher-student conferenceParents and Guardians, your part includes, but is not limited to: 1. Establish and maintain an open line of communication between school and home 2. Take advantage of parent-teacher-student conference as well as any and all opportunities that will bring you on campus.Our success with students at Pima Rose Academy stems from parents, students, teachers and principal being active participants in student’s learning, growth and development. We strive to provide a safe, positive, intellectual learning environment that will empower students to become creative problem solvers, critical thinkers, and inspired learners prepared for life in today’s world.We know that not all students learn the same. Therefore, we offer a variety of individualized programs that caters to student’s various learning styles and abilities. Along with our computerized curriculum, we also offer small group classes that will also assist students catch up on credits, fill foundational gaps, and give students strategies and skills to be successful in high school.Also, because your future is important to us, each Pima Rose student will be appointed an Academic Coach. You will work with a Graduation planner to select your appropriate courses, determine your graduation date and design a coursework to help you accomplish your high school goals.
