Rude and condescending. Was considering using them due to the system already being installed, but after the customer service experience I just had, Id rather pay for another company to replace theirs.

My interactions with the two gentleman I spoke with on the phone were really poor. They were both really aggressive and unwilling to admit that the mistake was caused on their end. They kept talking over me and telling me that I didnt know what I was talking about. They were completely unwilling to be accountable for the fact that they had not resolved the issues we had been experiencing for 2 weeks despite multiple calls which resulted in the police showing up to the establishment every night for two weeks straight and blamed us for the issue and it is still not resolved to this day. The customer service is incredibly rude and they are unhelpful at troubleshooting the issues with their system. Really hostile customer service.

5 years ago I signed up with Young Alarm. The gentleman that came out to get me set up was very knowledgeable and helpful. It was because of him and his attitude that I signed up with Young Alarm. It took me several years to get my records changed so that the Company would call my cell phone and not my landline which I rarely used. I thought that issue was finally resolved. About a month and a half ago I noticed that when the alarm was accidentally set off that Young Alarm didn't seem to be responding in a timely manner like they previously had. I decided to test the alarm. Timer in one hand, cell phone in the other. It took approximately 1.40 minutes for them to respond. Instead of calling my cell phone they called my land line which they had been instructed a number of times not to do. I asked to speak to a supervisor. I don't recall ever being treated and spoken to so rudely and condescendingly as Matt was to me. Very similar, in some cases, exactly as a number of people listed on their online reviews. When Matt treated me as he did I made the immediate decision to find a new Security Company. One that was helpful, not rude, and condescending. I have a new security monitoring company hired. I will be posting this review on line. With Matt's name specifically mentioned in other reviews I am surprised the company hasn't done something about it.

Have used Young Alarm for over 20years. Have had minimal service calls and when needed they come right away and pricing is very reasonable. They also do monitoring and have been impressed with that service as well.

We have been with Young Alarm for around 10 years, and we have watched the customer service go downhill from our initial impressions. I was relieved to read the Yelp reviews to see that I wasn't the only one who found Matt to be condescending and extremely rude. I called to find out about a letter I received a year ago regarding an end to 3G wireless service on February 1, 2002 and a need for a $200 radio installation in order to continue to receive service. Initially I talked with John, who rudely responded to my questions about receiving only one letter a year ago as notification of this issue. He kept telling me that they are really busy converting everything to 520 area code and didn't have time to talk to customers. I asked to talk with John's supervisor, and I discovered that it was Matt who actually sets the tone for the entire office. Matt would not listen, instead talking over me, and rudely responding in a curt, angry manner...interrupting me and never giving me an opportunity to respond. When I said that we would end our service with them, he hung up on me. It was infuriating. I have favorable recommendations about US Alarm Brokers and Accura and will transfer to one of those local companies.
