I was shocked to read the negative reviews at this establishment. They are in stark contrast to my experiences at this branch. When I first started my relationship with this Branch I did encounter procedural difficulties with BMO being "stuck on stupid" over my Power of Attorney over the account. Despite the legal documents being professionally prepared, they were unfortunately dismissed and ignored since they weren't on the banks in-house form. Once we had worked through the peculiarities of this bank's bizarre requirements, my relationship has improved and been nothing but positive. Years later, I still question the wisdom of the BMOs less then accommodating thinking. Over the duration of my relationship with this branch, I have experienced nothing short of outstanding customer service by the highly dedicated staff of this branch. All banks routinely offer the same financial products, what separates them is the customer service. Again I can only rely on my personal experiences which have all been outstanding.

We have nothing but problems with BMO. Their 3rd world phone service is horrid. Can't understand most of them I've encountered due to thick accents, mispronounced words, emphasis placed on the wrong syllable, etc. Multiple incidents of the account being "fraud locked" after my 85 yr old mother couldn't immediately recall her social security number, or if I'm in the background coaching her. (She's very hard of hearing.) Branch personnel are friendly & mostly competent but their hands are tied with regard to over zealous & restrictive policies. Nobody there has any authority to actually THINK and made decisions. It's been horrible dealing with them the past few years when there is an issue - which there have been quite a few of following the death of my father. Examples include refusing to honor power of attorney drawn up by the family attorney and refusal to add my sister and I as trustees using the trust documents prepared by our attorney, insisting we have THEIR trust document completed, which requires not only a notarized signature of the grantor but also the signature of a non-related witness - which the bank will not allow to be a bank employee. We've had enough. We're gonna try another bank. It can't be worse, and the process of getting things straightened out with BMO is the same as what we'll go through switching to a different bank.
