I had a very bad experience with Mackenzie Collier Interiors. They did not seem to have a real sense of professionalism or care. They were truly distasteful in how they reacted to my project budget and once they realize that I was not a client they wanted or an asset to them, the kind costumer service seemed to dissipate. I would recommend finding somewhere else to help you with your interior design needs.

Our forever wishlist has been to do the entire interior fixer-upper for all furniture and re-do the layouts for a long time. Still, we couldn't initiate it because we have packed & unpacked over ten years around the world based on what the military directs us. He got out of the military, and now we have determined we must pursue it since our furniture was all torn down from moving, and most of them were irregular in concepts, colors, and unfit layouts. What impressed us the most is MCI responded quickly & professionally from beginning to end. Believe it or not, not many interior companies are responsive or keep up with its customer, and even if you got in touch by luck, a waiting time for an estimate might go over two months. It took a while because COVID struck down the furniture industry, not getting their inventory in time, but we were aware of the fact and expected the delay, so it was no problem. The interior fixer-upper project, managed by MCI, has changed our daily routine positively. We love to cook at home and play the piano while we have red wine; we used to prefer to go out to eat because the home doesn't give us comfort and coziness- for example, the comfort theme for us was going to Starbucks. That was a theme we wanted with AZ vibes. As a result, the vibes we love from Starbucks stay with us 24/7, and we learned how to adore the real "home sweet home." That change impacts the ultimate good for single-family living and building a loving family. I hope you do not waste your time webbing around with interior companies who do not value their potential customers. I almost felt like I was in a position of a salesperson in front of their door, and they were the buyer; total role upside down change. Yet, Happy ending; I encountered MCI accidentally, and my dream came true. I'll surely be back again after time passes or will introduce any acquaintance if they want to do their project. We are sincerely appreciative of the effort you put into our cozy nest and making our dream come true! p.s. excuse the real-life mirroring photo I just took, lol! please just focus on the furnitures and layout. Services: Room planning, Dining room design, Living room design, Office space design, Lighting design, Home decor selection, Bedroom design, Interior decorating

I selected this interior design firm given their strong reviews and decided to "try them out" before jumping into my much larger remodel budget. Perhaps that was a mistake, but after waiting perhaps a month I had an appointment and two representatives came to my home. They listened to me and looked around at some potential, small initial design recommendations. I also had filled out a questionnaire about my style and where I had purchased furniture in the past.  I never got their cards or was ever given their last names and over time it felt as though their communications were designed to keep it to the bare minimum or for strict billing purposes.  The initial design consultation was about $850 and it got me an initial meeting and a few hours of Pinterest posts of possible purchases for a a wall chandelier, wallpaper, tile on stairs and fireplace tiles that I had to purchase myself and coordinate the install, if any. These are mostly items located on Pinterest, although the wallpaper for one wall was more unique.  I was contacted by their billing department after they send me the Pinterest links sharing that my remaining balance was due and had been neglected (maybe prior to sending me the link.) I paid promptly. This was only an hour or so after the links came my way!  Overall, $850 or so is not a big deal given the design budget I had envisioned, but enough that I had the impression that they were not very interested in me as a client nor have I ever heard from them again.  I don't know their last names and was only provided with the main contact email and couldn't tell if the two women I met have an extensive design background or not. The client is limited to what is billable and handled in a manner that appeared, to me, reduce overall contact or communications. The in-person meeting was quite pleasant, however,  and I did feel the two young women listened attentively, but I didn't have the impression that they were ASID certified or had other credentials or anything one would expect to learn from a last name, senior designer, or by receiving a business card. I told them I would like to further engage with them after the holidays before I received their input, but I never heard back; not even a quick, "How is it going, Linda, with our recommendations." It seems as though that would be a thoughtful gesture no matter the budget.  So, if you want to gain their attention it doesn't work dipping your toes in the water. This was simply my experience.  The three stars are because they did send me the Pinterest links after a few weeks and helped with a few decisions. They were very pleasant when we met and via a few emails too.

Working with Aleah and Yoselin of Mackenzie Collier Interior was a great experience and the results exceeded my expectations. I wanted a new kitchen with a pass through that opened more into the front room, a master bath and guest bath in my 1967 ranch style house. Their task was to create spaces with plenty of storage, easy to care for (and flooring able to withstand pets), and a master bath that allowed for aging in place. Their initial choice of materials, colors and layout was so spot on, little fine tuning was necessary. They also recommended and scheduled contractors. (We were extremely happy with the contractor we ultimately chose from their recommendations.) For both client and contractor, a complete layout and spec package is provided, making the whole job easier for the contractor and the results as pictured.I ended up with a home that allows my art collection to shine and is the envy of everyone who sees it. Additionally, it is functional and easy to care for. I'm thrilled with the results! I cannot recommend Mackenzie Collier Interiors highly enough.
