U.S. Bank ATM - 35th & Southern

I don't think their poor treatment is racially motivated..I've HAD an account for some time, and needed to deposit a decent sized check from attorneys office. They refused to release ANY funds in spite of fact that their web site said it's federally mandated that a portion of the funds be released immediately. They treat everyone like garbage from my experience..

This location in particular is an issue for me. I felt as though I was racially profiled while asking for assistance. I do not have an account with this bank and was issued a check through my mortgage provider. Unfortunately the check was damaged and the routing number was torn off. I called the bank and was told that I should be able to cash the check but ultimately it was up to the location. I was given the routing number over the phone and I went into this location. I believe the lady that helped me was Evelyn and she looked up my mortgage account in their system. Set up everything so that she could verify with her manager Aracely that she could accept it. Aracely proceeded to look at the check and asked for the missing piece which was not sent to me by the postal service. Then she simply refused. She said the machine wouldnt take the check but I have knowledge that checks can be manually deposited through. The check is less than $150 and I had to have it reissued which is going to take 30 days. Honestly I needed this little check to help me through to the next paycheck. I am just a working woman that is trying to do right. And I firmly believe that if my nationality or name was different, my check would have been cashed and I wouldnt have had this run around. I feel this way based on the info that was given to me over the phone when no one could see me and could not make any judgements.
