Great experience overall. My visit was well organized as I received a very comprehensive eye exam using just my insurance and no judgement for long time since my last exam.

Dr was pleasant and knowledgeable. The office staff is terrible. Go somewhere else if you value your time and money.

Went into to have a simple nose pad repair and first of all the receptionist was not interested in me coming into the vacant store and then they wanted to charge me for a new set of nose pads? LOL been purchasing eye wear for decades in multiple states (Washington Oregon Hawaii and South Dakota) and this is the first store to charge for eye pads! Money grab! I suggest we all take our business elsewhere. My family will.

This is an over-rated eye clinic. The staff seems bothered when asked a direct question and seems to have very little concerns over the customer's needs or questions. I waited over a month for a pair of trial contacts to come in and when they did, I had to reach out to the clinic to "try them on". Further, my prescription is a difficult one, so the contact company sent 2 pairs of trial lenses. Instead of giving both sets to me (considering the time it took to receive these trial lenses and my prescription is quite high with astigmatism, meaning that not many other individuals can't wear my prescription), instead, the Dr told his team that the other set were for the "house". What poor professionalism. I will be trying to get a copy of my contact and glasses prescription (because the Dr is actually good) but I refuse to purchase ANYTHING from Avant Garde eye care and I will never use their services again.

Ok, so Good and Bad - which is why the 3 stars.... First. I like Dr. Stewart. He is knowledgeable, patient, and willing to take the time to answer all my questions. I had an experience going to another eye care location, where they ended up getting my prescription wrong - twice. I called Avant Garde Eye and Dr. Stewart was not only able to help but accurately adjusted my prescription. I was also able to get new frames with my new prescription right there at his shop. Ive recommended Dr. Stewart to a lot of folks. Second. His front desk staff. Cindy (I think that is what she said her name was), is obviously overworked or stressed or in over her head or something because Ive been trying to get an appointment for weeks and every time Ive called or emailed, she tells me Im on the list I dont know what that means! I finally said, I need an appointment, what do you have available, she said, the first available is July 12. I said great! Thinking I was going to finally make an appointment and she hung up! Now I get an answering machine. Seriously! Fix your front desk staff. If an office doesnt have a welcoming staff, what does that say about how the doctor runs the office? I wont be recommending anyone to go here again, but I do like Dr. Stewart. Im just sorry he cannot get his staff to understand that in order to keep a thriving practice open, you need friendly and accommodating staff to help the patients.
