Hello Mr. Knutson, what is crazy is you leaving a 1 star review when we checked out your car for free and created an estimate. Your mechanic did not diagnosis the car, they scanned the vehicle and checked fuel trims (I walked over to your mechanic and talked to him when I picked up your vehicle with you). We actually physically checked your vehicle. When we saw oil come out of your intake piping and oil all around your pcv hose, its a clear sign your pcv is failing. Unfortunately GM integrated the pcv into the valve cover. We weren't even trying to check the pcv, we were trying to check the spark plugs and we noticied the oil coming out of the intake. You spark plugs were worn and your coils were all original. Your vehicle is needing a catalytic converter for the second time, that means something is ruining your converter and that's what we were checking for.In regards to getting diagnosed before and after coming to us, I just talked to Stan at your mechanic shop and he said they did not diagnose your Captiva before you came and after you left our shop you just told them to change the catalytic converter. They did not check anything under the hood. Even when your vehicle was at their shop, more repairs then the catalytic converter had to be done because it wouldn't start for them.We are just confused for a 1 star review when you didn't spend any money. We even stayed late to check your vehicle out the day I picked it up instead of waiting to check it on Monday when we had time.
