These folks are my go to for our 2 GSDs Hana and 8ballmoving from WA state out in the country we had quite a good few kennels , and for our working\herding dogs we need a place that knew the mindset of this working class with great care\supervision. They run a tight ship over there, and document playtime\toys\bedding etc etc to let you know they have the pups best interestwill keep on going back. We have been there several times, and constant praise for this place..keep it up top dog!

Top Dog is the best in the business. To say that training for our dog was worth every penny would be an understatement. Everybody here is incredible. Shawn completely transformed our dog and removed aggressive tendencies that weve been working on for 4 years(with previous trainers) in just 6 sessions. Our dog also LOVED the training too! He taught us how to communicate with our dog in ways we never would have thought of without him. He is a true master of his craft. I can not express my appreciation for Top Dog Boarding and Training enough. This has been absolutely life changing for our family. Thank you everybody at Top Dog Boarding and Training!!

Edgar did an amazing job with our dog training, for for the 2 week boarding and training for our 6 month old puppy, AND for my husband and I. WOW our puppy learned so much and has retained what she learned and we so appreciate the training we got for ourselves to reinforce what our puppy learned! We, 100% recommendations Top Dog and Edgar.

We moved from California to Arizona just over a month ago. We have a 19 month old German Shepherd from a working line. Lexi is wonderful, exuberant, has a little stranger danger, we always believed she was smart, but very much a handful. We had tried a few different methods of training with others but we were in need of someone who could really work with us and our pup. I wasn't even sure how to begin to find someone but then...
We met Shawn at the Arabian Horse Show a few weeks ago. He had "Jarvis" with him. Jarvis is an impressive Belgian Malinois who Shawn has trained. I chatted with Shawn for a few minutes but in those very few minutes, I knew that I liked him and I liked his approach to training. I went back to the show again and stopped by his booth. I wanted more!
We now have completed her initial assessment and 3 one-on-one training sessions. I am so excited to see how excited Lexi is to work and how quickly we see some needed changes. First day, she barked at Shawn and was unsure. She now loves going into the training room...makes herself quite at home with all the props and distractions (yes Shawn, I "cope" and gather data!!! lol and am learning to separate "cope" and "training"). Everything Shawn says makes sense. He explains the "why" not just the "how". He is very respectful of our precious Lexi and us as well. I just hope I progress as quickly as Lexi does!!!
My 2 "aha" moments from training yesterday:
NO now has a real meaning and it shows
Training isn't something to devote a few time slots in a
day...Every interaction with Lexi throughout the day is an
opportunity for training!
