Retro Pro Kitchen and Bath Remodeling

I highly recommend Retro Pro based on my recent experience with a remodel of my kitchen and great room. All my interactions with Eric, from estimates and planning, through completion of the project were timely, respectful, and thorough. When unexpected challenges arose, they were addressed and resolved promptly. The team of Max and Taylor did exemplary work, always on time, respectful of my entire home, trustworthy, did quality work, and completely cleaned up at the end of every day. I will definitely hire Retro Pro for future projects and look forward to working with them again. Eric Johannson's Retro Pro Team is awesome. They took our kitchen vision and added their design expertise to enhance our remodel and create a beautiful dream kitchen. Oscar and Blake were fastidious, efficient, friendly professionals, who arrived on time and communicated daily progress with us. They are true craftsmen and a joy to work with. Both Oscar and Blake's attention to detail was appreciated. As a result, my husband and I are experiencing 'kitchen bliss' and we are so pleased. Eric is a talented business owner & kitchen designer. He listened to our kitchen needs & concerns and created a beautiful solution to our dining and storage issues. Angela is a wonderful interior designer and l loved her recommendations and artistic inspiration ideas that made our kitchen unique. Very fun experience. Steve, a great Project Manager who was available to coordinate our remodel needs or support Oscar and Blake. I highly recommend Retro Pro. A job well done. We had Retro Pro remodel our kitchen in our 1982 house in Tempe. Their work was excellent as always. They had done our master bath in 2009, I believe, and our guest bath a few years after that. They are not the cheapest but that is not really what you should be looking at. They don't start a job till they have ALL the supplies needed and the crew to do the work. Eric and Angela were professional and dedicated to helping us to get exactly what we wanted. Oscar and Blake our dedicated crew were wonderful. They always let us know when they were coming and kept us informed on the process of the job. Steve the project manager was always available to answer any and all questions. Everyone always wants to call around to find the best contractor for remodeling your bathrooms but if you're looking to just get to the good part, skip all the others and make the call to Eric and Angela at Retro Pro. Why? 1. *They're just good people.* Professional, easy to work with, not pushy and EXTREMELY detail-oriented. 2. *One company.* They don't sub any work out to contractors. Everyone works for Retro Pro - plumbing, drywall, electrical, flooring, tiling - you make 1 call if any issues/questions come up. 3. *Detail oriented.* I am a professional project manager so it's in my nature to want specifics, measurements, plans and answers to my questions. Everyone here gladly shares the details and provides honest assessments. 4. *They're local.* They've been doing this for a long time with nearly a 5-star rating on Google and Yelp. Happy to support local businesses. 5. *Quality staff.* Projects like ours don't get done without people like Omar (project manager) and Oscar. I'm forgetting the tile-guys name :-( All of these guys are hard workers, friendly and did amazing work for us. We couldn't be happier with the 4 bathrooms they remodeled for us. Two years ago we had Retro Pro remodel our guest bathroom, and because we were so pleased with their work my wife and I decided to have the dynamic team work their brilliant magic on our master bathroom. Once again we were impressed with the final outcome. It is always fascinating to witness Eric and Angelas creative design come to fruition in addition to the talent, dedication and exquisite workmanship of Omar and Blake. (We specifically requested Omar to be our project manager because he is awesome!) What was unique about our second collaboration with Retro Pro is that my wife was (finally!) fully involved in the process. As a result she insisted on writing her own personal review, which Ill post below on her behalf: I'm a person who does not like to get involved with any kind of home maintenance/remolding and rather leave that all to my husband to deal with. But since meeting with Retro Pro, Eric and Angela are such a dream to work with. They both have such a wonderful warmth and you can tell they care and love their job and make you feel welcomed, comfortable, and include you in what they do to make sure you are happy. This same warmth trickles down to their staff, Omar and Blake, who are true caring professionals that help bring Eric and Angelas vision to life. I'm also putting in a request to Retro Pro to please appreciate and hold on to Omar and Blake real tight because I want them back sooner than later to remodel our kitchen next! :) With that said, and without going into too much detail, there were a few issues that occurred during the tile phase of the project that did not involve Omar and Blake. In brief, there were a few questionable actions by the tile guy that delayed the completion of our project. However, despite the inconvenience it was nothing that Eric did (or could) not quickly and efficiently address with our complete satisfaction. Interestingly, we did end up benefiting as a result. So, it was a blessing in disguise. Our only hope is that this particular team member learns from his honest mistake for we do believe that he is great at his craft and means well. It is always a joy and pleasure working with the entire Retro Pro team and we will without a doubt work with them again for our future home project(s)!
