I was a member here for a while, at a different location there was some minor disagreements in which the teller was extremely aggressive and threatened me. Stating YOU ARENT GOING TO TALK TO ME THAT WAY when my responses were simply about a card I had been waiting for, look if its not here than just take the mail and forward it already! I dont want to argue. The manager of that location told me to relax and that when I come in next time I am to be calm. Little did I know they would close my account behind my back, making the whole conversation pointless and essentially a stab in my back. When I went to my home branch (this one) for a resolution, I got the biggest run-around answer you could imagine, and then themselves began telling me I needed to stop coming in or only for business purposes its honestly been one of the most ridiculous experiences ever and Ive spent a few years debating on writing a review. Well here I am, to say, NO to 1st bank GO ANYWHERE else.

I am very impressed with Jillian on her professionalism and knowledge with business accounts. I drove from the West Valley all the way to Chandler because she made me feel at ease and confident she would fix my account. This story serves as a warning to anyone considering banking with First Bank. A hard-working individual, who also happens to be an Iraqi military veteran, deposited a $38k insurance check at the bank. They were repeatedly promised that the check would clear by Monday but were met with resistance when they arrived to collect their funds. The bank laughed at them and refused to authorize the funds. Eventually, the check was verified but was placed back on hold within an hour. After multiple attempts to reach out to the bank's toll-free number, the victim was forced to contact the insurance company to confirm the check's verification. The bank then closed two of their accounts, shut down their Zell account, and held their funds hostage for an additional 10 days. This behavior is unacceptable, and it is crucial to not profile individuals based on their skin color. It's important to be wary of banks with a reputation for such behavior and to exercise caution when considering doing business with them.
