VA DOMICILIARY, ANCHORAGE, ALASKA For Veterans of the United States Military in Alaska, the VA has a Domiciliary in Anchorage for those needing assistance. Primarily focused on the treatment and recovery from alcohol and substance abuse, however they also provide assistance with mental health issues and homelessness. This is a comprehensive in-house program to assist veterans who are seeking to make a positive change in their lives. Veterans have the support of a professional, knowledgeable and caring staff including substance abuse, mental health, medical and social work specialists. The facilities are modern and immaculately cared for. The client rooms are comfortable as well as spacious. There are recreation, physical fitness, laundry, and community facilities available. The dining staff serves three meals a day, which are the equal of any restaurant in taste and variety. This program is a prime example of the VA providing the best for our veterans who are seeking assistance.
