Who do these people think they are??? I called for a rental quote and the immediate answer was, "Over $200 per day. Call back I'm busy right now". Good luck to you folks at A-1.

If you have read the reviews, this guy can be a little gruff. He is an older gentleman who has served his time, bought a few used vehicles and rents them out to help save visitors to Anchorage a lot of money. So cut him some slack. You will not find a cheaper place in Anchorage. However, you also can NOT expect to get a new car with less than a thousand miles. Oh, and do not talk while he is calculating your bill!

I needed to rent a car in a moments notice (less than 1 hour) and Stanley at A1 had one ready for me within a hour! Great price and a reliable vehicle! Thanks so much! Great customer service!!!!

I highly recommend A-1 Car Rental!! I was is a very difficult position, a medical emergency for my son, and had to get an extended rental. Trying to avoid the high prices at the name agencies, I called A-1. Stanley at A-1 gave me a reliable rental for a price that would shame the others.
