image Overall this medical office is amazing. I moved to Alabama from California, but I just love it here. If I were to compare this medical center to my California doctor, there is no comparison to how amazing this place truly is. Front desk was very nice and communicative. The assistant nurse was awesome, I felt she really listened to me and decided to do blood work rather than writing me off as depressed (which is what my other doctor in California had put me down as), she really made me feel better about my concerns and gave me relief to what I could be going through but to make sure, blood work would need to be done. Im so grateful and happy that I will know, what going on with my body, good or bad. Thank you Avalon Family care!

image The NP is good, but they won't write essential scripts far enough out. They write orders for monthly, unnecessary bloodwork, and good luck trying to get a sick visit. They'll just tell you to go sit in the ER, which really isn't adequate or appropriate care.

image The Dr told me he couldn't treat what I was there for and told me to see someone else. When I called back to make an appointment the kid that answered the phone told me I switched practices which I did not. I went to another person for something this dr told me to. When I asked why I couldn't make an appointment I was quoted false information about missing required follow up appointments per the kid that answered the phone " these aren't just for FUN BCBS requires them". Having worked insurance I know this is a lie. I am not required to go to any appointments every 3 months when I am not getting any medications or undergoing treatment by this doctor. When I told the girl she got smart and hung up the phone. Being contracted with BCBS as a provider and quoting false information because they want to nickel and dime people out of money. Please know this place only cares about your copay not your health. The young black girl that hung up on me because I worked insurance and told her she was incorrect is the same one I have heard talk bad about several others that call in while I am in the waiting room. Don't waste your time here. They ordered the wrong lab test over 3x even after I stated specifically which ones I needed due to them not knowing how to run a full thyroid panel. So much money wasted and time. Highly recommend you to run as apparently they demand you follow up every 3 months even if you don't need it. Not even going to mention the wrong diagnoses I received and medication I was put on and taken off by the specialist I was referred to by them because they said I didn't have that condition. Only thing worse than a drs office just wanting your copay is a nasty office staff attitude. I've worked healthcare for over 15 years and this office by far is the worst.
