Heflin, AL Sports & Recreation

Nothing about this place would get me to stay there again. Just find another place. No amenities at all. No bathrooms, no showers, no tables or grills, nothing.

This is the most biodiverse Appalachian area I've ever seen. The controlled burns conducted by the state influence a great diversity of plants.

We loved it here! We came in late. But kids loved the river the next morning. Very quiet. And great bathrooms!

In a longleaf pine thicket near 1200 feet above sea level. During winter, excellent views of the surrounding Talladega National Forest are visible. .

Heflin Spur to Coleman Lake on the Pinhoti is beautiful.
