I should have read the reviews prior to going, I experienced first hand I had to put in to take off work well in advance for the appointment Clinical Urology assigned me. I show up 15 minutes early as instructed. At appointment time they inform me they cancelled my appointment. I show them the text message confirming my appointment and they said I would have to come back another day, no so called doctor there could see me that day. Obviously patient care is not what they are about. AVOID them and the so called doctors there at ALL cost

The ladies in the front office are rude and not helpful. The lady I talked to was very dismissive and didnt give me much of an option when asking about making an appointment.

My mom was supposed to be a new patient at Clinical Urology Associates today, August 22nd. I drove from Birmingham this morning to get her to an appointment at 8:30 a.m. When she went to sign in, the lady at the front desk said that they do not take her insurance on new patients and they will no longer take this insurance on anyone as of the end of this year. The insurance is Cigna-Medicare. She said they would have to cancel the appointment unless she wanted to personally pay for the amount of their services when she is billed. The lady beside her said that she is the one that took the appointment. Keep in mind that this was a referral from my mom's primary physician and they knew what insurance she had as the lady did who took her appointment. I guess I'm old school, but I would have taken my mom's insurance since it was their mistake on setting up the appointment and since they are taking the insurance on existing patients through the end of this year with the understanding that as of December 31, 2023, they will no longer take this insurance. I understand that providers have to make decisions on carriers that pays them an amount that's not acceptable to them, but I also understand that you shouldn't penalize a patient when it's the provider who made the scheduling mistake. This is a common sense thing to me, but obviously we live in a different world today.
