Dr Grady Maddox is such a great person as well as ortho surgeon. He has done a tendon transplant on both my hands. It's a tough surgery but no more constant pain in wrist and thumbs. He has a great bedside manner and genuinely cares about you and your recovery. His medical assistants are very good and personable. Would not hesitate to recommend anyone to his practice.

My wife had a problem with the front desk lady with light brown shoulder length hair. Talking very loudly about her personal and confidential matters. Told my wife they called her family. Talked to the Manager July T. She was very rude and unprofessional. Ignored my complaints and changed the subject over the top of me talking. The Doctors are great. But the front desk ruins it for them with all the gossip and innuendo. I am there to make things better. Not to be put on the spot. Caused me alot of stress and made my day.

Dr. Ambrosia is a amazing orthopedic surgeon performed a total hip replacement on me, changing my life from not being able to do daily necessities to doing the things I enjoy doing. I would definitely recommend him to anyone having joint issues. Dr. and his nurse both go above and beyond to make you comfortable!!!!

Long short story. In March had left knee replacement with Dr. Michael Martin. Thought he was great surgeon then, still think he is a great surgeon. Just now I think once his work is done and he is paid, hes no longer concerned with any issues youre having. And heres why: 4 months post op I got this excruciating pain in my left knee. Iced it, took Tylenol and it decreased over a few days. 2 weeks later I found myself in critical condition with multiple pulmonary embolisms and multiple DVTs in my left knee and femoral vein. This is HIGHLY unusual this far out from surgery, so it is felt I do have some other type of disorder. After being home for 2 weeks, I again suffered this excruciating pain in my knee. An ultrasound was repeated. Thankfully, no DVT. It was recommended I call my ortho surgeon to advise him what had happened and that there may be swelling or other issues due to how many clots had been present. So, I called and left a message on one of his assistances phone. First statement I made was, Im about to tell you about some DVTs I had which in no way had anything to do with the surgery and then left the rest of the story. I receive a call back from his assistant, (he is in the background coaching her what to say, lol) and the first thing said is blood clots normally form within the first 2 months. There must be something else going on. Im thinking, did they listen to my message? Anyway, I proceeded to again explain this sudden onset of pain had reoccurred and they thought he may want to take a look to confirm hdwe was still in place and no abnormal swelling or fluid might be present following this event I had gone through. He said, nope. No reason he needed to see me. There was nothing he could do for me. But he would like a copy of the ultrasounds in case he ever did surgery on me in the future. . I could just send those to medical records. Now remember this was all translated to me by his assistance. I suppose he was too busy to hold the phone, as well. Im a nurse. I worked for an orthopedic surgeon. He never would have told a patient after that kind of experience who was still experiencing pain there was nothing he could do without at least evaluating the patient. I wanted nothing more than that. I wanted no pain meds, if he was thinking that. Hadnt had any since hed last prescribed them for me. I dont want there to be anything wrong. Fortunately, I will find out soon as someone else will look at it for me. I am beyond thankful to be alive and Im grateful for the doctors who practice the oath they took and a patient is just not another number to them. Dr. Martin you can be both a great surgeon and show care and concern to ALL your patients. UPDATE: So, I received a call from Dr. Martins office manager and I reported to her the exact information Id already had said. She stated she would call me back the next morning after she spoke with Dr. Martin. I again assured her I in no way ever thought he was responsible for the blood clots but I would feel better if he could just look at my knee. Well guess what? That phone call never came. I wouldnt have even cared if it had been a call back saying he doesnt think his assistance said all that. I mean, at least do what you say youre going to do. I truly hope no one else ever has or ever will be treated this way. I had nothing to gain by making this post. I was asking for help and your assistants felt I didnt need help by listening to me over the phone. That was a mistake on my part. I should have just made an appointment and not even spoken with them. I guess they all got a good laugh over my pain. So, sincerely, I hope no one is ever met with that. As I said before. I do think Dr. Martin is a wonderful surgeon. I dont really know what happened or why they did me this way. Prob will never know. But, its obvious theyre not going to see me so Im done.
