Used This Side Up Moving of Birmingham to move from an apartment to new home. Great experience overall from quotes, scheduling, to the actual move. Was quoted about 4 hours but could be more since apartment = slow elevator. Ended up being about 5 hours. The movers were hard working and werent standing around. Extremely polite and friendly. Would recommend and would use again in the future. Thanks!

I just moved from Boaz , AL to Palm Bay, FL. This has been the greatest moving experience I have ever had! Starting with Kristy, who spent an endless amount of time prepping everything over the phone & calming my nerves! The movers Dee & Garret were absolutely phenomenal! I also had Ty help out on the load in Boaz, who was also great. But, Dee & Garret were the most prompt, professional, courteous, & efficient movers I could ever ask for! They also did so much to calm my anxiety! I highly recommend this company! Service: Interstate moving

*** EDIT *** After my initial review, the company came out to my home to make corrections where appropriate. I am pleased with their response. *** Original Review *** Unfortunately, we did not have an overall positive experience with This side up. The good parts were that they were all very polite, and their main mover Garret was a hard worker and smart mover. The issues were; 1.) Their move quote was for 7/30 which is when we wanted to move. When we agreed to book it (less than 24-hours later), suddenly their first availability wasn't until 8/6...frustrating, but we could be flexible 2.) With This side up, the customer pays for all travel time to our home, and from the dropoff - We invested $110 in paying them to come and go to their own office. That's part of the contract, just something that all consumers should be aware of, as it's different among all companies 3.) The biggest issue was the errors that they made, and the money their mistakes cost us; - They spent 20 minutes extra trying to figure out how to put the dresser mirror back on, asking us what we did with the screws/bolts. Since they dismantled the dresser/mirror, they had what they needed the whole time - They took apart a perfectly stable bed, and somehow lost those bolts as well. As such, they cost us extra time and money and then just arranged the bed parts, not telling us that the bed would collapse when we went to bed...Bad treatment of a customer. We expected the inevitable small matters (furniture scuffs, torn screen, etc.) as those are a part of any move. That said, we've moved many times and this was the most disappointing crew yet; a real pro in Garret, and a couple of pure rookies who cost us money, and frustration. I did give the company a chance to respond, but did not hear back after they got paid. Services: Local moving, In-state moving
