Patsy, I'm sorry that you felt that our service warranted a 1-star review despite repairing your car properly and professionally.During the initial assessment on your brake noise on the morning of 4/2, I took time to test drive your car to confirm the noise. Then we lifted it, and pinpointed the noise, which was a brake rotor backing shield that rotted through at the fastening points. We then had you come out to the shop to show you and explain that the best course of action would be to remove this shield, as it was cutting into your wheel. At the same time, we noticed that the right outer axle CV joint boot was split, and leaking grease. You mentioned that you had the left side done at a Firestone and you think they overcharged you. Still, you asked me to put together an estimate.After I removed the LF wheel, removed the offending shield, put everything back together, torqued the wheel by hand and brought the car out front for you, we had a clock-time total of 47 minutes into this job. At this point you questioned why that you should be charged for a noise diagnosis, despite us not only diagnosing the initial complaint, fixing said complaint, and identifying another problem. I asked you directly what you thought my time was worth, to which you really didn't have an answer.However, I still put together the estimate to replace the RF axle, which was about $40 more than Firestone charged you and you said that was high, despite us using better quality parts. You still authorized us to do the job, and we got you scheduled in for Thursday 4/4.That morning you mentioned again that you thought the price was too high, and I mentioned that there are likely multiple shops that can do the job cheaper, and no hard feelings, I'm happy to send the axle back. You insisted that we did the job, which we did, for about half of dealer price.So there were literally 3 different times over the last 3 days that you were questioning pricing, but at the same time still wanted us to do the job. We did the job, fixed your car with your approval, and we get rewarded with a 1-star review. I'm sure there are other, cheaper shops who will be happy to help you in the future.

We really appreciate the kind words here. And it's a shame that other shops use these tactics to try to sell jobs, but we need to be able to sleep at night knowing we're doing right by our customers.
