After more that 25 years of doing business with this company on 18 Ave, they left me without a renewal policy. I called prior to expiration and was lied to everytime. Even after calls from me, my son and a message from my lawyer, I received no response. I would never recommend them to anyone. Every year I was with them was like pulling teeth. Why did I stay? because at my age it felt familiar and never had issues before. It seems theyve gone downhill, so save yourself a big headache and go elsewhere.

We recently went through the process of buying and gut renovating an old brownstone.  The process was long, expensive and stressful, but one thing that actually went smoothly was getting our homeowners insurance.  We initially met with another company that we didn't feel great about, but Anchor gave us reasonable quotes from very established/reputable companies while we were renovating and needed a special policy, and then once we were finally done. Everything was explained to us, and we had a ton of questions.  It was just seamless, which we appreciate.  We were referred by a friend in the area, and have already sent friends to them - all were super  happy.
