La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Boone University

Had to stay over night in Boone due to car troubles. Was able to check in late night, the fda was very kind. The hotel is dog friendly & accommodating to all needs. Best hotel breakfast spread Ive seen! Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Coffee pot, Refrigerator & microwave in the room.

The price is around $120 a night putting it in the same price point as mid range Marriot hotels but it lacks almost all the amenities and luxuries of these hotels. The girl working the counter immediately charged us a $25 hidden fee after they'd already charged us for our stay, made us fill out paper work detailing the exact make and model of our vehicle (security risk) with the only explanation being "it's Boone" and no real explanation on the hidden $25 fee. The room itself was spacious and all the wall outlets worked but the bed had a mattress cover and fitted sheet that were too small and came off every night of sleep bunching up around my ribs and digging into them, making for 2 of the worst nights of sleep I've had in a hotel. Not to mention the dogs barking every morning and being able to hear every neighbors shower run, waking up at 5 am for my upstairs neighbors shower is not what I expect for $120 a night. The breakfast was also very mediocre with some of it tasting like it was cooked a day or two before and was very hard to eat. I'd give the overall experience 2.5 stars and, for the price, cannot really recommend unless there are no other options. Won't be back. Safety: Making someone fill out a piece of paper noting the exact make and model of their vehicle is an extreme security risk, if you need to give someone a parking pass give it to them but don't make them write down identifying information for no reason, I've never had to do this at a hotel.
