Bruce working the front register stopped me in the store to tell me that I cannot shop in the store because my pants have pockets on them that could be used to steal things. I tried to explain that as a contractor, I have been wearing these same cargo style pants and shopping here and all other valley Ace hardware stores for over 20 years with no issue and that I couldn't very well drop my pants and shop naked so what did he suggest? His reply was that I could go and put on different pants and come back and shop. They have had a problem with theft and thus I would have to leave the store and come back with another pair of pants and try again. I had to suggest that another associate could walk with me to be sure I didn't steal anything because I really needed the parts I came in for. I made a video of my follow up to actually shop for my goods. Never been treated so ridiculously in all my life. Shame on you Bruce, and Ace hardware for allowing this kind of treatment to a long time Ace hardware customer.
