I waited on hold for 20 minutes and then requested a return call that did not happen. I have been denied OB care by three different groups, and I am due in two weeks. I requested a return call during the am and I was told I would have a return call on Friday during the morning, that hasn’t happened.

IF YOU ARE A WOMAN THIS COMPANY DOES NOT RESPECT YOU OR DESERVE YOUR BUSINESS. FOR YOUR OWN HEALTH AND FINANCE SAFETY PLEASE USE ANOTHER INSURANCE OR SELF PAY! I work in the medical field and doctors will offer dramatically lower self pay prices than Aetna’s gouging allowable prices. Aetna insurance reps are either undertrained and do not know the policies and rules or LIE about what’s covered until it’s too late and you’re responsible for the bill. If there were negative stars I’d rate it -4 stars. Every once and a while a claim or prescriptions will process without needing prior auth or an appeal. I have NEVER had such horrible health care insurance until my job took a policy with Aetna. If you have the option definitely go with UHC or BCBS or anyone else. Per my Aetna's Medical Benefit Summary plan: The Well-Woman Exam is to check a woman’s reproductive health when no signs of illness are present. Deductible/co-insurance does not apply; Plan pays 100%. But on my annual exam and mammogram I received bills for over $680 after speaking with insurance reps stating it will be covered 100% before I went. Had I known I’d receive bills like this I simply would not have gotten my annual exam this year. My labs were NOT covered. My mammogram was NOT covered. Complete disrespect and lack of consideration for any women with an Aetna health plan. I refuse to even attempt to use my vision plan. Please please please use another insurance company unless you want surprise bills and lies about your coverage.
