    I got a call today, 2/25/24, from someone who claimed to be from BBB but did not give me his name. He reported all the emails sent to me in response to my complaint about PERFACT (sic) BROW. That salon did not disclose that a $100 deposit I had paid by credit card for a procedure for brow tattooing to take place 4 days later which I cancelled in writing THREE HOURS LATER was not refundable. The reason I presume is that the owner, BHAVI, an extremely high strung lady, was offended when during the consultation I had asked for a prior ink test (having had a previous experience with a brow tattoo disappearing within a week). However, she did convince me to try again, and the procedure was scheduled and the deposit paid. When back home, I thought that I should try to have an ink test elsewhere and emailed the facility to cancel temporarily. She ignored various emails and when I finally called, she was very unpleasant and aggressive. Apparently, she has now convinced the BBB that I used "inappropriate words" on the phone, which is absolutely false. I am very surprised that the BBB employee would take her word for it and did not ask for proofs, which I know do not exist. His tone on the phone was accusing and I really do not appreciate that. Very unprofessional and disappointing.

    I felt that there are some rating controversies, complaint handling issues, Accreditation system, and Lack of real power here. But it's all voluntary, the Business can just ignore the requests, and your case is closed.

    Better Business Bureau will post a false complaint which no one could possibly believe with such blatant accusations. When their office is called, it goes to voicemail.

    Goforth Pest Control had me wait for service for over 6 hours, only to close the office. That was a Friday. I called on Monday and after requesting a refund they never called me back. Finally they called on Tuesday offering me $50. of my $95. deposit. I told them no.This company has the worst customer service I've ever experienced. And the fact they don't want to give me my money back is almost criminal.

Due to the fact you say that you received this call on a Sunday leads me to believe that you may not have received a call from a BBB employee. Our normal business hours Monday through Friday are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Mr. Cantwell, thanks for your correspondence. As you noted, BBB is founded on the concept of voluntary self-regulation. We are here to make sure advertising is truthful, assist in dispute resolution, call out bad actors in our community, and provide a platform for consumers to share their experiences with a company. When a consumer files a complaint we engage in our dispute resolution process with the business and the customer. If a business is unwilling to participate in the dispute resolution process it is reflected in the letter grade BBB publishes about a business. The letter grade represents the BBB's degree of confidence that a business is operating in a trustworthy manner and will make a good faith effort to resolve any customer complaints. The BBB rating scale is A+ through F, just like in school. There are times that businesses do not engage in the BBB dispute resolution process and that is reflected in the BBB letter grade for a company. There are other times that a business may make a good faith effort to resolve a dispute but the consumer remains dissatisfied. In those instances, the complaint is reported but may not necessarily result in a letter grade deduction. Either way, your experience will be reported for the general public to see and draw their own conclusions regarding your experience.

PPA, our phones can get quite busy at times. Did you leave a voicemail? We make every attempt to reach people on the same day prior to close of business. If we are unable to do that, we typically return the call within 24-hours. BBB is the publishing platform for complaints and reviews of customer experience. It is not our policy to edit the content submitted by a consumer. However, there are exceptions. The two most frequent exceptions are for foul language or when someone's personally identifiable information could be compromised.
