Without notifying the divorced parents, Dr. Weiss jumped the gu and notified DCFS of heresay he heard from the young teenager that resulted in good, engaged and proper parents to be required for questioning by local police who found nothing. It was a horrible experience and we immediately removed our child from the care of Dr. Weiss.

My son was brought to Dr. Louis Weiss for a few sessions of Psychotherapy. My son trusted this doctor enough to reveal a minor personal incident at our home. Dr. Weiss immediately reported this to DCFS even though our own pediatrician discovered the same information from my son but did not report to DCFS knowing that my wife and I are both upstanding, engaged and responsible parents. Thanks to Dr. Weiss, we were put through the ringer with DCFS and the Willamette Police over something quite minor and ridiculous. Even the DCFS agent concluded after their initial telephone interview with h me that the incident was actually quite insignificant to warrant their involvement at all and so their investigation was short and unobtrusive. But to be good parents and still have to answer to a mandatory sit-down at the Willmette Police station by order of DCFS as a result of an impetuous act of Dr. Weiss was very difficult to bare. Avoid this therapist who more concerned with himself than patient families.
