Agbon Martial Arts

After living in Wilmette for almost 7 years, a friend of ours introduced us to Agbon and we have our 7 year old enrolled there. He absolutely loves the masters and always looks forward to class. We also just threw our son's 7th birthday party there and Master Mary Ann and Master Fernando were able to keep 25, 6-7 year old boys/girls entertained for 1.5 hours. One of the most unique birthdays and also had our sheet cake cut with a sword. Highlight of the party!

My son loves his Taekwondo class with Agbon Martial Arts!  So much so, that we hosted his birthday party at AMA.  The party was a hit!  The kids had a blast, and the party included some very special events - like board breaking, and cutting the birthday cake with a Samurai sword!  The venue was perfect.  The team at AMA made sure it was stress free for us parents.  They took care of more than we anticipated, including decorations in the party room, and even table cloths.  The the was perfectly organized and planned out.  All we had to do was show up with our cake! They even provided free passes for guests to include in the goody bags.  It was honestly one of the best parties we've had.  We were able to sit back, relax and enjoy the celebration. It's been 5+ years since my kid started and he's still doing. The masters have been doing extremely great jobs to teach and motivate. Also, they have been super flexible during pandemic by offerring online classes and timely reopened in-person classes with online options available.

I'm a teacher at a local public elementary school and Agbon Martial Arts spent a week with us as a visiting artist. They taught Taekwando during students' Physical Education classes and were AMAZING! Master Mary Ann and Master Fernando delighted all students (Kindergarten - 4th grade) with age appropriate activities that were engaging, challenging and fun! The students were very focused and eager for each lesson, taking great pride in their accomplishments. I'm excited to have them back again and whole heartedly recommend their program to anyone looking for a fun and challenging activity for them and/or their children in a supportive environment. Agbon is truly a gem!
