American Home Shield

This business is just another place to get scammed. I thought it would be good as my Realtor signed me up, but then I needed to use it. The plumber they assigned called and said they could not complete the repair and he sent out his restoration crew who tried to scam me out of a ton of money until I called my insurance Co. After a ton of money and several weeks without water I finally found a great plumber...and AHS will not give my $200 back for cancelling the call when their plumber would not help...save your money up to hire outside of this scam...

poor response. Typically service calls to fix anything takes 3-4 weeks to complete. However, they collect the deductible in a timely manner! Getting a service person in the line takes at least 1 hr phone wait, call center personal are amicable but not capable of providing customer centric solution. The entire enterprise needs to monitor the response time for service calls and customer service assistance. I had a claim for a broken microwave replacement, took 2 weeks to get a repair person to my home and another month to get a replacement microwave. For superior: poor customer service. Waited for days to have a service call return

Plumbing backed up and leaked through the roof of the garage. Called the service, they sent out a Plumber. The first thing he did was try to prove it wasnt covered, then left. Spent three days on the phone chasing them to come back. If you like hours on hold punctuated by passive aggressive call center reps in the Philippines (all 10 people I spoke with were there, no US numbers to provide), then this is the home warranty for you!

American Home Shield does not honor their own contract. My refrigerator broke on Friday and was reported to AHS. They assigned a contractor but they are not coming until Thursday (6 days later). When I reported that my contract states repairs will be intiated within 48 hours, American Home Shield did nothing to speed up the process or find another service provider. I asked to speak with a supervisor on Saturday but one never called me back. Still waiting... No phone call and still don't have a working refrigerator. But they keep taking my money. A/C needed fixing. 1st repair company got here then told they could not work in condominiums. Why wasn’t I asked that if I lived in a condominium FIRST?? 2nd company Never called me Well I wonder why the phone area code when as about 400 miles from Atlanta !!! That’s what I had to give them UP First:/ $100.00 they better not bill me for that. This AHS is the pits No customer service here its all off shore / try and understand the dialect very difficult and everything is read by a script. BTW they told me they could not look for a new company Until the one that came here and couldn’t work on condominiums contacted AHS to tell them that they could not do my work. So that was another 24 hours until they could even try to look for one of their Choice contractors. 400 miles away!!
