They have completed gone down hill with how they treat patients. We went to make an appointment today the women on phone was extremely rude. To save everyone time. They don't except cigna or Maine care which we have both of. We are also repeat clients. Extremely disappointed and will be sure to tell family members who are also regulars here how we have been treated and always have thought highly of this place.

Used to love this place for my wife and I. Not going to now just got off the phone with a women rep who was extremely rude. First she couldn't find me in the system and told me I don't exist or have never been. First lie there have been here 3-4 times before 2020 when I got my glasses prescription from them. However she found my wife no problem and then told me I told her my birthday wrong or I don't know my birthday. Then asked for my insurance. Just to tell me they don't except that have to pay out of pocket and will not use our second insurance and told me we have to figure out because they wont use the first or second and we have to pay out of pocket or not go at all. Never again not getting spoke to this way or go back to this place.

First of all , I am 81 years young. As I said earlier, Dr. Paradis is a wonderful person and an excellent doctor. However, his staff isn't friendly or professional. It all stated when I got a statement from them. Well, I have CHAMPVA and knew something was wrong. I never get as bill from any doctor's office and I don't pay a copay. So, I called and talked with Melissa in billing and she wasn't very pleasant. She said they hadn't paid it. So, I asked her to give me the dates of service and when they were sent to CHAMPVA. I called CHAMPVA and they said they hadn't received them. So, I called back and told Melissa that they hadn't received them and she said is a very rude, sacastic way "Well, what do you want me to do about it? I asked her who she thought she was talking to and she came back real angry with: And, who do you think you are talking to?" I told her I would discuss this conversation with the doctor and she said "I think you should". Both of these replies were with a raised voice and she was being very rude (to say the least). Actually, the word for her behavior was "belligerent:" I called back and left a message wioth the doctor to please call me and I never heard from him. I calIed and spoke with Carrie, the office manager. She basically called me a liar as she said she was sitting right next to Melissa and never heard any of that conversation. I called CHAMPVA and we had a 3-way conversation with Melissa and she said she would "re-send" them. It's been weeks and CHAMPVA still hasn't received them. I later got a letter telling me that since I wasn't happy with them, that I would no longer be their patient. My daughter went in for her exam and she talked with the doctor and he apologized to her for what I had to go thru and said he'd take care of it. I had an appointment in March for a dilation as he had put me on special eye drops. I had a funny feeling that wouldn't happen and so I called to check to see if I still had my appointment. The girls evidently know my name as she put me on hold and Carrie came on and said that they didn't want me as a patient and she was sick of repeating herself. I had a feeling that Dr. Paradis didn't have the courage to stand up to her and Melissa and I was right. About a week later, I got another letter telling me they didn't want me as a patient. Both letters I received had no signature on them. Dr. Paradis doesn't have what it takes to be a boss and it's too bad as I'm sure people aren't going to stand for this behavior and he'll end up losing his practice. I have gotten into another doctor where the office staff are very friendly and what a wonderful feeling that is. So, if you want to be treated with respect, I highly suggest you DO NOT go there.
