This is such a bummer to write, but this place has changed so much...and not for the better. My husband and I went in to treat ourselves and it was such a disappointment. The donuts were flat, like they didn't proof long enough or something, even the filled ones. The filling was also not dispursed throughout the donuts, but all stuffed into a single bite. Literally, all in one bite. We questioned whether they were even filled until getting to the last bite. Also, getting rid of the angel cream filled donuts was such a shame.

I think this place changed hands, kept the old name, but changed the recipes. Unfortunately, the donut recipes are just not as good as they were. If you preferred the previous Donut King donuts, go to Holey Moly Donuts instead, as it seems exactly like former Donut King in flavor. The dough at this location is too chewy now, and almost seemed stale. I ordered from the case and had to wait while they did something to create the order in the back, not sure why. Staff was nice, just not a fan of the change in the recipes now, unfortunately!
